Director Purchasing

The Director, Purchasing will establish processes and systems to integrate Purchasing activities in the USA, as well as obtain highest possible purchasing value (quality / price / lead time / supply continuity) for inventory and non-inventory goods and services. Main Tasks: 1. Is responsible to develop a strategic Purchasing Function within Ferring USA, aligned on the Company’s Business Plan, in order to provide Ferring USA with a competitive advantage in terms of sales, costs, working capital, risk management and innovation 2. In alignment with the Global Purchasing strategy, establish the Ferring US Purchasing Strategy Continuously identify margin improvement / risk mitigation opportunities through financial and spend analyses and interactive communication with internal stakeholders Develop and ensure execution of spend category strategies and related project portfolio 3. Drive the creation of the purchasing project portfolio in Ferring USA and lead purchasing projects having a strong business impact 4. Lead and manage the Ferring US Purchasing Team Lead a team of Buyers within the local US Purchasing Groups Develop and maintain a culture of performance in the Purchasing function, resulting in continuous improvement of costs and customer service level Manage and develop people within the Department in line with the Ferring Philosophy: clarify responsibilities; communicate and enforce values, recruit, set annual objectives, train, coach, appraise performance, review job contribution; propose compensation 5. Lead the organization of Purchasing throughout Ferring USA - Manage quality and performance Build and implement robust purchasing processes in line with Ferring Global Purchasing Practices Align the Ferring US Purchasing Policy on the Corporate Purchasing Guideline and implement the adapted local SOP (e.g. sourcing, supplier relationship management, procure-to-pay,…) Track and report purchasing KPI’s to Management on a monthly basis (cost savings, cost avoidance) 6.
