Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Develops, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations. Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. DIRECTOR LEVEL:
Responsible for the operational success, strategic alignment, and integration of activities with other major organizational functions. Responsible for a significant number of measurable functional and strategic goals or priorities. Balances urgency to achieve short-term goals with longer term strategies. Participates with other senior managers in establishing the superior organization's strategic plans and objectives. Demonstrated mastery level technical and managerial expertise in the function and/or business being managed. Develops the organizational annual goals consistent with the short and long term goals of the superior organization. Resolutions developed typically require a high level of constructive thinking in addressing unique and uncharted problems to enhance business results. Demonstrates seasoned judgment in accounting for all relevant issues in making decisions that may have a broad organizational impact. Has significant latitude in implementing those decisions. Accountable for directing the organization in all aspects to achieve the short and long term goals and objectives of the organization. Recognizes strengths and weaknesses and ensures business plan provides for future competency needs. Ensures that structures, processes, and systems align to support strategic objectives. Failure to achieve goals and objectives or erroneous judgments/decisions would have a critical impact on the larger organization and may have contributory effect on the company. Bachelor's or advanced degree with significant experience necessary to possess an in-depth understanding of the technologies, functions, business, industry, and the Company. Demonstrated management capabilities to include strategic level responsibilities including profit center input and management.
