Job Description
Texas Health Stephenville seeks to hire a Director of Quality Management. Texas Health Stephenville is a full-service, 98-bed hospital that provides health care for residents of Erath County and surrounding areas. More than 40 physicians on the medical staff are dedicated to providing quality, compassionate health care. The ideal candidate will meet andor exceed the following basic qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Nursing or a Clinical area of study; BSN strongly preferred. * Nursing Candidates must have current RN license to practice in the state of Texas. - Masters degree preferred. - 5 years of clinical nursing (RN) experience strongly preferred. - 1 year of management experience required. - Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills ability to present to large groups. - Ability to build a collaborative working environment. - Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements. - Ability to generate written reports and handle data bases. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this position is responsible for the oversight of Texas Health Stephenvilles Performance Improvement, Quality Management, Patient SafetyRisk Management, Infection Control, and Medical Staff functions. This position is responsible for the oversight of the THS Performance Improvement Program and supports the use of evidence based medicine to improve patient outcomes and to optimize the use of resources. The incumbent will develop, implement and coordinate a patient safety plan that promotes a patient safe culture and develops and implements a lessons learned format and culture for the THS family. This position works directly with the Chairman of the various medical staff committees, Medical Directors, and Performance Improvement Committee to facilitate Medical Staff Peer Review Activities. Continuously works with the Chief Quality Officer to improve physician and staff performance within Core Measure Sets. Communicates with the President to keep leadership current and informed on all issues. Provides updates to the Board of Trustees, Medical Executive Committee, and Performance Improvement Committee on status of plan and recommendations for changes. Monitors and supervises hospital compliance with Joint Commission and governmental agency standards and requirements Maintain Joint Commission readiness at all times; show evidence of compliance with all standards; keep THS managers and staff fully informed of requirements and assist in developing plans to achieve such.
