POSITION TITLE: DIRECTOR, QUALITY SERVICES
DEPARTMENT: Quality Services
REPORTS TO: Vice President Quality Services & Medical Staff Office
I. POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing the operations of the Quality Services department and performance improvement program of West Hills Hospital & Medical Center (WHHMC). Accountable for management of interdisciplinary performance improvement projects in consultation with staff, management, and Medical Staff, as chartered by the Quality Council. Responsible for ensuring organizational compliance with standards and other regulatory requirements. Formulates strategies for and monitors outcomes of PI. Responsible for the timely acquisition, coordination and statistical validation of all PI data. Serves as the organization s clinical data source. Responsible for responding to data requests, both internal and external, while appropriately maintaining the proper security of the PI databases. Provides integration to the organization related to patient safety. Works closely with the hospital and Medical Staff, and communicates with the Quality Council, Medical Executive Committee, Board of Directors, administrative personnel and HCA, as appropriate.
1. Master s Degree in health related field
2. Experience in statistical/data analysis
1. Minimum of 5 year s experience in health care, hospital preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in Quality Services in an acute care environment.
3. Demonstrated ability to direct and implement major performance improvement processes
4. Experience in data and financial analysis.
