Job Description
Position Summary:brbrThe RD Business Analysts Lead is responsible for overseeing activities for gathering, analyzing & prioritizing functional, & non-functional requirements to facilitate the development of new systems or technical solutions for complex business issues. This includes development of comprehensive domain business process models used to guide continuous improvement initiatives within RD. The RD Business Analysts Lead works closely with Business Analysts, business stakeholders & other project team members to determine alternative solutions for data, processes, interfaces, controls & outputs to fit within the schedule & budget.brThis role is also responsible for resource management & staffing of Business Analysts, working in close collaboration with the other domain Business Analysts Leads & Enterprise Heads. The RD Business Analysts Lead leads the development of the business analysis capability & best practices, both within RD & within a community of practice across business domains.brbrMajor Duties & Responsibilities:brbrRole-Specific:br* Oversee team of Business Analysts working with the business to provide technical expertise & develop enterprise business process models for any new or changed technology applicationsbr* Participate as a Business Requirements Subject Matter Expert to support the development of project artifacts such as business requirements documentation, technical designs, test strategy & plans, etc.br* Drive a portfolio life-cycle of information system initiatives, programs, projects & services to optimize business process solutions within RDbr* Drive transparency in the resource allocation process & help facilitate the flexible & responsive deployment of skilled Business Analyst resources to projects / activitiesbr* Promote a culture of knowledge sharing across domains & oversee initiatives to proactively support sharing of best practices among the technology, business & firm-wide leadership teamsbrbrStakeholder Partnership:br* Play an active role on the RD IS/IT Leadership Team to help establish information systems direction & objectives for the RD IS/IT organizationbr* Build the community of practice for Business Analysts across domains, including establishing methods, st&ards, processes & integrated toolsets. Facilitate community building efforts including knowledge capture, capability building & sharing of leading practicesbr* Proactively develop thought leadership with external subject matter advisors & develop strong alliances to leverage & promote optimal business process analysisbr* Provide industry & domain specific best practices perspective & consultation to business & IS/IT managementbr* Establish strong relationships with business leaders to underst& the strategic direction for the domain & define the resulting short- & long-term IS/IT strategic prioritiesbr* Participate in & support cross-domain technology & process improvement initiativesbrbrPeople Management:br* Lead, mentor & direct the work of other team members or analystsbr* Build relationships & collaborate with other domain & enterprise resources to ensure customer needs are being metbr* Provide mentoring & leadership to the direct reports as well as the broader domain IS/IT staffbr* Promote teamwork within the domain, across technology groups, & at the enterprise levelbr* Provide input to HR for implementing programs addressing changes in the sourcing, career mobility, career development & reward & recognition initiativesbr* Manage resourcing & staffing of teambr* Perform employee performance evaluations
