Regional Business Director - Renal Division - Texas
The Regional Business Director ensures that Regional sales and management objectives are met and exceeded for all product lines of responsibility.Job Responsibilities:Develop and execute plans to ensure rapid distribution of Genzyme Therapeutics products.The RBD will be responsible for all aspects of sales, reimbursement, local marketing programs, peer-to-peer program oversight, speaker/thought leader development, trade pull-through and budgetary management.Develop regional business plans based on regional sales goals, expectations and available resources, including Regional and Territory strategies and tactics, as well as resource allocation.Be an expert in the clinical data, which affects current product promotion, disease state and market trends.The position includes recruiting, selecting, hiring and coordinating the training of Clinical Science Specialists (CSS's).Effectively provide constructive feedback to CSS's in order to help maximize their potential. This feedback must be documented via field visit memos, e-mail memos, sales reports and other communication vehicles. Ultimately, a cumulating of this correspondence should provide the basis for the CSS's annual performance evaluation.Spend a sufficient amount of time in the field with CSS's in order to help them develop, as well as provide direction and feedback. Field time should also provide a way for the RBD to learn and assess current market trends.Provide direction based on field input, market assessments and trends in order to develop a region which is consistently implementing Regional and National 'Best Practices'.Plan, design and implement territory alignment based on maximum ROI.Support CSS's by providing guidance and career development.Establish positive working relationships with all key customer segments (internal and external).Manage and adhere to all company policies assigned to sales management positions.Implement and re-enforce sample SOP's.Communicate with other RBDs, marketing, reimbursement, corporate accounts, medical, manufacturing (as needed), senior management and all other departments necessary in order to facilitate achievement of LLC objectives.- Up to 50% travel
Basic Qualifications:BS/BA degree (preferable in science or business)
10 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience including documented, successful field management experience or equivalent leadership experienceTeam orientedConsistently exceed goalsExcellent Coach, and is coachableExcellent initiative and self motivationThe ability to effectively maneuver through complex situations, internal and external.Creative problem solver.Excellent clinical skillsExcellent general business manager
