Director, Regulatory Reporting

One of our premier clients in NYC is seeking a Director, Bank Regulatory Reporting. This is a new position that will have a lead role in the preparation and submission of financial filings required for companies regulated by the Federal Reserve Board (FED). As part of this new regulatory environment, the company will need to comply with new financial reporting requirements, beginning with first quarter 2012. The Company will also be subject to bank holding company regulatory capital requirements. To prepare for and address the additional financial reporting and regulatory requirements that the company will face, the Company is seeking a Director, Financial Reporting to help transition the Company to this new regulation and establish a business-as-usual reporting process to comply with FED reporting requirements. Additional Functions:

Implementing the new quarterly financial reporting required by the FED for our client
On an ongoing basis, manage the quarterly financial reporting process for FED reporting which includes building, training, and supervising a team of resources
Analyze new requirements as they occur to determine their impact on the Company's public reporting and monitor developments in the FED reporting arena
Establish a strong working relationship with key contacts at the FED
This position requires significant interaction with various areas of the Company including other controller units and the Treasurer's Group
This position may also involve participation in special projects involving financial reporting or other enterprise initiatives

Bank Regulatory Reporting Director Qualifications:

CPA required
Knowledge of and experience in preparing Bank-Holding Company regulatory reporting is strongly desired (FR Y-9C and others)
10+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience required
GAAP accounting knowledge and reporting experience
Public financial reporting experience is a plus
Knowledge of insurance accounting practices is desired
Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight time frames
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly motivated, team player that is detail oriented
Over-time will be required during peak periods
