The 142-room Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport opened less than three years ago and offers the latest in services and amenities to both business and leisure travelers. The property also features 27 suites over 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space to accommodate conferences and groups of up to 400 people. Conveniently located in Shreveports premier Financial Plaza District, the hotel provides guests with easy access to area businesses and facilities including the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, Barksdale Air Force Base, and the Shreveport Convention Center. The Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport is just steps away from Shreveports most popular attractions and hottest venues such as the 8th Air Force Museum and the Louisiana State Fairgrounds.
The candidate we seek must have a minimum of 2 years current local area and preferrably HILTON brand experience as an DIRECTOR OF SALES, preferably from HILTON GARDEN brand concept.
A strong team player with excellent communication skills. They should be well versed in hotel sales and have a knowledge in forecasting and budgeting. This person should have a take charge attitude. Our ideal candidate will be a local hotel sales director, or possibly manager, with 5 years experience, 2 of which should be at the director level. Prefer that candidate is familiar with Hilton and needs to have a proven record of increasing sales revenue, primarily hotel focused on small groups and local companies. Must be able to work in a demanding environment and with professionalism and diplomacy. Able to prospect and develop leads and convert them to clients. Social media experience is a plus.
This individual must be dynamic and have strong multi-task abilities in front and back office systems, budgeting, forecasting, payroll, expense control, employee and guest relations, with proven service training skills, leadership, team building, and be results driven.
