Job Description:
This role is responsible for business development and the strategic interface with major shipping partners worldwide. The Director of Strategic Shipping Partnerships will define the partnership framework for key activities in joint solutions development, product development, marketing, services development, and go-to-market with shipping partners.
Key responsibilities include:

Develop and execute top-level strategic plans establishing revenue and operational targets and managing contribution of shipping partners to eBay.
Establishing and fostering executive relationships and securing buy-in for joint initiatives.
Provide executive updates on progress.
Leading a cross-functional team across eBay supporting shipping partner activities.
Identify new strategies and incentive for adoption of shipping partner platforms.
Support product development and product management alignment on roadmap and architecture.
Create and manage governance structures for shipping partnerships.
Lead shipping alliance quarter and annual planning activities.
Manages cross-company interface and coordination of all major shipping partner functions to ensure optimum business plans are developed and executed.
Participate in development of annual and 3-year shipping team strategy.12+ years experience in alliance management, product marketing, technical business development roles, with a principal focus on negotiations, performance management, and contracting.
Previous experience establishing or managing revenue driven strategic alliances between technology companies.
Strong knowledge of shipping and transportation industry and product offerings from the United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service, Federal Express, and their competition.
Expertise in development and execution of programs for shipping infrastructure solutions, especially in the context of major partnerships.
Proven ability to recognize, analyze, and take action on go to market approaches, marketing programs, joint value propositions, and business cases around strategic partnerships.
Cross-functional influence, relationship building, and project management skills toward a broad constituency ranging from customers, sales, marketing, and technical resources.
Team player. Strong drive. Self starter. Willing to take leadership role in driving initiatives, working across organizations, and structuring approaches to new opportunities.
Strong need for travel in the United States and Internationally.

Strong focus on planning and effective change management skills.
Technical undergraduate degree required and MBA a plus.
