Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this position is responsible for overseeing the Strategic Marketing function for MKS Instruments on a global basis. Responsibilities include overseeing product marketing, assessment of existing and potential markets, evaluation of pricing strategies, channel marketing, online marketing, brand management, market and product education. Responsible for developing long-range marketing plans for the company, translating the overall strategy into tactical plans to achieve the company s goals and objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:


Creates, manages, coordinates, and executes all company marketing strategies consistent with corporate objectives

Manage the company s global brand marketing across multiple verticals and international markets, including marketing support for the company s franchisees, distributors and strategic partners

Researches and develops strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing,new project development, and capitalize on marketing trends

Develops and manages the marketing budget, and oversees the development and management of internal operating budgets

Participates in the development of new project proposals

Establishes and implements short and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures

Supports the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials

Represents the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company

Supervises the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials, exhibits, and promotion programs

Promotes positive relations with vendors and distributors.

Recommends and administers policies and procedures to enhance operations.

Works with department managers and corporate staff to develop business plans for the company.

Establishes and implements short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor s degree, and 12+ years of experience in a senior level, global marketing position with 5 years in a senior management position

Experience in strategic planning and execution

Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management

Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts

The ability to articulate a vision and strategy in a way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals

The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes

Requires professional presentation, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
