Hitachi Consulting is seeking a Director, Strategic Solutions Portfolio Marketing to aggressively build awareness and drive demand for Hitachis global solutions. This is a strategic role for a motivated marketing professional who wants to lead the rapid growth of transformative solutions. The individual will report to the VP of Marketing and have the responsibility for developing and executing overall GTM plans for the global solutions portfolios, working closely with global solutions and innovation leadership, including solutions portfolio leads, industry market leads, partner marketing, field sales and field marketing. This seasoned marketing lead will manage the development, customization and coordination of global marketing programs and assets to equip regional marketing teams with all elements of an integrated marketing global campaign including messaging/positioning, thought leadership, sales tools, client case studies, events, media and analyst relations, internal and executive communications, and digital and social media marketing. The successful candidate should have proven solutions marketing experience in a consulting, software, hardware or technology company selling to medium and large enterprises. The position requires a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on tactical execution. Cross-functional leadership is critical.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work with key stakeholders to develop, manage and own solutions marketing plans for each portfolio, leveraging strategic market assessments and collaborating with solutions portfolio leads and field teams to implement market segmentation models and tailored marketing plans based on customer needs, new growth areas, and emerging solutions opportunities

* Interpret complex technology innovations and translate into bold, compelling and distinctive content appropriate to target audiences and channels (media, digital, social, keynotes, video and more).

* Develop sales tools, playbooks and training materials to drive sales and partner enablement

* Manage the development, packaging and internal marketing of customer facing assets including infographics, blogs, videos, demos, white papers, websites, case studies, and solution presentations for both business and technical audiences

* Execute GTM programs and launches, communications and demand generation for solutions, including tailored programs to reach new clients and drive revenue growth with existing clients (client-centric marketing)

* Collaborate with field marketing to implement integrated marketing campaigns by geography and industry, work together on joint or related programs including promoting Hitachi Global Solutions in targeted programs.

* Drive thought leadership that strengthens Hitachis position in target markets

* Support social media strategy through value-added industry/functional content creation and by communicating with leading industry bloggers and other influencers.

* Help support sales training and participate in sales calls to ensure field effectiveness in positioning and selling.

* Support cross functional teams with both subject matter expertise and marketing acumen

* Liaise with the analyst and media relations teams, ensuring all solutions messaging and positioning are accurate in briefing materials. Participate in Hitachi responses to analyst inquiries and surveys.

* Be prepared to manage a virtual team located in multiple time zones across the world.

* Market research, segmentation and sizing, identifying "burning platforms" and HCC sales arguments and value

* Messaging development, for sales, marketing, executives, for solutions and for overall GSI
* Competitive intelligence, objection handling etc.



* A minimum of 10 years of experience in industry, solution and/or product marketing in the enterprise high tech or software market- targeting vertical industries and business functions.

* Strong knowledge of business transformation solutions and business consulting services.

* Passionate about technology and innovation, keeping up with the latest trends and advances

* Strong analytical mindset and skills, including the ability to break down complex data scenarios into digestible components
* Capable of managing a long-term, content rich campaign across multiple geographic markets and industry sectors.

* Natural storyteller that knows how to identify story angles and develop them into strong pitches

* Proven ability to build, support and manage resources across multiple cross-functional teams to execute high impact marketing

* Excellent communication, presentation, project management and critical thinking skills.

* Ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.

* Strong ability to think and work strategically, but also execute as an individual contributor.

* Ability to operate with a high level of energy, commitment and enthusiasm to take on a complex, challenging role in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
