Director, Strategic Sourcing - Content Services

The Strategic Sourcing Director will be responsible for global sourcing activities, with a focus on the technology related functions (from post-production through distribution) across multiple business units. This role requires the development and execution of sourcing strategies, with an equal emphasis placed on the ability to identify, analyze, and quantify opportunities as well as the ability to manage RFI and RFPs and handle vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
* Responsible for leading and managing projects, including RFI/RFQ/RFPs spanning from creation, issuance, and facilitation of the entire process through vendor selection
* Lead negotiations with vendors, in collaboration with key stakeholders.
* Drive project activity through the communication of expectations, enforcement of deadlines, creation and evaluation of deliverables, and management of issues and risks.
* Demonstrate the ability to put a structured sourcing process into action in formal and informal negotiations, and leverage the process to resolve conflicts and build consensus.
* Establish/formalize vendor management practices with business units for key vendors
* Create supporting documentation that can be included in executive-level presentations
* Perform spend analysis and identify savings opportunities across vendor engagements
* Work with multiple business units (post production, technical operations, distribution services) to understand and fully define service provider requirements
* Develop picture of vendor spend to optimize discounts levels during vendor negotiations

Basic qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business or other quantitative discipline
* 8-10 years of process-based sourcing experience (e.g., RFI/RFQ/RFP, reverse auctions, interests-based direct negotiations)
* Experience leading large RFP design and selection teams
* Experience negotiating with suppliers
* Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with financial and/or quantitative modeling
* Experience with SAP or other ERP
* Experience developing and/or presenting business cases
* Relevant industry experience

Desired skills:
* Related degrees and certifications a plus
* Internal or external business consulting experience highly desired
* Background and knowledge and strong interest in Information Technology (systems, outsourcing models) and Digital Media Technology landscape
* Strong analytical skills; MS Excel proficient; financial modeling preferred
* Strong written and communication skills; MS PowerPoint, MS Word proficient
* Ability to work independently as well as lead and participate in cross functional teams throughout a full project lifecycle
* Strong negotiation skills
* Strong customer orientation
* Comfort with written and verbal communication of quantitative and qualitative information with executives
* Knowledge of various outsourcing and service offerings, pricing, and delivery structures
* Knowledge of best practices for IT RFP and contract negotiation tactics and strategies
* Appreciation for managing technical teams, including offshore resources
* Comprehension of global IT services landscape
* Successful Project Management track record
* Ability to effectively assess technical problems
