Description
Are you an innovative (big picture), goal-driven telecommunications analyst with an in-depth knowledge of traditional and new wireless technologies with a strong product development acumen* If so, then you may be our next Director of Technology Research.

Our Director of Technology Research will hold a strategic role responsible for identifying, understanding and monitoring new and existing wireless technologies and related radio access network equipment while assessing the potential impact and opportunities for SBA. This person will lead all efforts in analyzing equipment deployed through leases and amendments to determine technology deployment implications and future needs, while providing researched insight to assist with the development of business strategies pertaining to the introduction of new technologies. The Director will also be responsible for the long-range visibility into technology that our customers are, may or will deploy.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or other degree related field, Masters or doctorate preferred.
* Background and experience in Equipment Research & Development within the telecommunication sector.
* 8 to 10 years experience in the wireless industry deploying multiple OEM equipment platforms, Macro site development and solid understanding of wireless network operations.
* Ability to analyze operational data, interpret business drivers and develop performance measures.
* Must demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability to work with MS Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail.
* Strong interpersonal relationship skills with ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
* Ability to take full initiative to complete assignments and effectively interact with all levels of associates.
* Ability to handle multiple high priority projects in a fast paced work environment.
* Some travel may be required.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area and volume.

Reasoning Ability:

* Ability to define and prioritize problems collects and organizes data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and projections.

* Valid Driver s License
