TITLE: DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTREPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
LOCATION: DALLAS, TX
JOB SUMMARY
Currently we are representing a leading Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Care Corporation in need of an experienced DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN DALLAS, TX. The DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT is responsible for the overall design, management and execution of the Company's Business Development Department. This position will be responsible for developing and promoting a strategic sales and marketing plan that will achieve or exceed budgeted census goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a Marketing related field with a MBA preferred
Minimum of three years of experience as an Executive Sales leader in a multi-facility long term care setting
Minimum of five years of experience in implementing successful business development strategies in various types of markets
Thorough understanding of the Long Term Care Market and referral sources including acute care markets
History of successful sales training of internal and external business development staff
Proven history of achieving or exceeding census goals
Ability to identify market needs and trends
Excellent communication and organization skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serve as the key member of the senior management team to develop, manage, and implement sales and marketing strategies for the Company
Mature occupancy and quality mix goals consistent with budget expectations
Spearhead business development initiatives that continue to advance both the overall Company presence as well as the specific home market presence
Develop and advance strategic relationships including all acute care settings (general, LTACH, and rehab hospitals) and build an effective physician leadership team that will effectively bridge those key referring hospitals to each home
Create advertising campaigns, public relations opportunities and other marketing plans to introduce and advance market presence
Assist in recruitment and hiring of talent to create a larger pool of clinically driven Business Development Specialists as well as provide input to open Community Relations Coordinator positions
Monitor the utilization of lead tracking system and compile data both monthly and quarterly that will analyze strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for occupancy development. Data should be specific to payor source with a focus on private pay development
Oversee all business development tasks associated with entering a new market and support the successful opening of a new home with a strong fill-up plan
Conduct demographic analysis of the existing and future markets to maximize business development approach
Evaluate and advance all collateral materials including print, media and on-line advertising to be current and to meet market and technological standards
Partner with the Community leaders to conduct on-going training, coaching, and development of internal sales team
Develop and conduct class-room and field sales training to external and internal sales team
Assist Community leaders to develop a successful community outreach program
Continually evaluate the performance of the department and revise the business development plan as necessary
Attends in-service and continuing education programs required for maintenance of any professional certification or licensure.
Attends continuing education programs as necessary.
