JOB TITLE Director of Cash Management
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The primary responsibility of the Director of Cash Management is to manage the departments of Treasury, Receipt Entry and Refunds of the Service Center while ensuring the value of the service offered to the physician practices.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Manages the departments within the established budget.
Establishes policies and makes recommendations for improvement.
Establishes and implements a system to ensure accuracy and timeliness in all cash management functions.
Gathers and analyzes information. Develops new procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work processed.
Supervises and trains/orients assigned personnel. Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, disciplinary actions.
Initiates and answers pertinent correspondence. Prepares and writes reports. Maintains required records and files.
Maintains knowledge of and complies with established policies and procedures.
Assists in care and upkeep of department equipment and supplies.
Maintains service orientation with staff, patients, and the public.
Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
Maintains confidentiality in regard to patient s accounts status.
Performs related work as required.
Maintain overall integrity of automated treasury database as it relates to CBO operations.
Maintain integrity of refund request process, using the most recent version of our automated refund request module.
Participate as requested in the development and enhancement of HCAPS s new practice management software.
Maintain working knowledge of the OnBase imaging and workflow software and it s maximized use in the Cash Management Department.
Incorporate HIPAA standards and practices.
Maintain workflow matrix & corresponding control diamonds as they relate to department operations.
Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement .
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - This position requires the following minimum requirements:
Proficiency in accounting and ability to use computer automated accounting systems to manage business
Knowledge of work processing and spreadsheet programs.
Knowledge of medical office procedures.
Knowledge of coding.
Knowledge of insurance company operating procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to process patients and public inquiries and respond with poise and efficiency.
Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, patients,
organizations, and the public.
EDUCATION - A Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE - A minimum of four years business office experience and two years as a department manager is
required. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for two years of medical office experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods of time. Some bending and stooping required. Requires occasional lifting up to 50 pounds of boxes or paper. Requires manual dexterity to operate keyboard, calculator, photocopy machine and other office equipment. Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read numbers, policies, and computer terminals. Requires hearing within normal range for telephone use. Occasional high stress work may require dealing with angry or potentially violent
people. Work is performed in an office environment and requires both desk and counter work. Frequent contact with employees and outside agencies. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
