SUMMARY:

As Director of Client Services, you report directly to the Managing Director. You lead all Seattle-based account management and are responsible for day-to-day management of client work and account staff. As a role model for the agency, you strive to be your clients smartest, most capable partner. By challenging assumptions and digging deep you come up with innovative options, and encourage and stimulate groundbreaking thinking from your team. You will use your strong financial and commercial acumen to negotiate optimal win-win terms of business. Youll work with your strategy and analytics partners to continually drive insights about your clients business. Youll solicit the involvement of key people in advance to build ownership. Youre able to lead department heads and win the confidence and respect of senior agency leadership.







RESPONSIBILITIES:

Passionately defends, grows and manages client(s) with revenue targets in the $10-15 million range

Responsible for the overall quality of Serum account management department.

Develops business leadership and marketing plan content

Develops important new methodologies and work practices that improve the agencys and clients performance and profitability

Recruits talent that raises the bar on results, creativity and quality of our product (not just creative)

Provides inspiring team training and thoughtful input on career roadmaps

Allocates resources creatively, balancing client needs with profitability

Ensures the agency operates on a solid foundation by building impenetrable client relationships through business and marketing acumen

Possesses a superior understanding of clients business issues, marketing, industry, competitors, and brands

Is constantly attuned to the evolving needs of the client

Is trusted to lead on behalf of clients and is viewed as an exceptional leader by agency colleagues

Resolves conflict easily and quickly, reducing organization and interpersonal issues

Is deeply engaged in development of account team and other department teams

Leads all marketing aspects of plan development and partners with strategic leadership to create innovative ways to impact client business results in all disciplines

Persuasively drives new client recommendations

Sells important work to key accounts and executives

Understands the role new media, digital and technology platforms within the clients marketing mix

Inspires clients and agency to new platform solutions

Continually inspires teams to generate new ideas and evolve existing programs

Oversees (does not manage) solution and campaign development stages to ensure the work meets client expectations

Adds critical insights during major creative concept reviews and provides direction on how to expand the brief and solution for further development

Attends creative presentations on major campaigns, and plays a major role in selling the work

Consistently delivers on revenue and margin targets. Builds agency revenue by building our clients businesses

Identifies organic growth opportunities and leads development plans

Closely monitors and improves the financial health of accounts

REQUIREMENTS:



Established track record of successfully growing agency business

10-15 years of agency experience, ideally with direct acquisition, digital and CRM experience

Must have a demonstrated innovative, forward-thinking approach to solving marketing challenges

Strong client leadership/stewardship expertise required

Integrated campaign experience a must, with a strong focus on brand, digital, broadcast and direct marketing campaign management.

The ideal candidate must come from a consumer-focused environment with extensive knowledge of managing the communications across the customer journey.

Experience with loyalty programs preferred.

Client vertical experience within the wellness, consumer-focused insurance, healthcare desired.

Proven ability to lead teams

History of identifying problems or opportunities and taking the lead in solving them.

Skilled at presenting complex and abstract ideas clearly and with confidence.

Must possess a true passion for the creative product and the ability to speak to that creative product with the skill and panache of an experienced creative leader
