JOB DESCRIPTION

COBHAM is seeking a DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING that will assist VP Finance with the activities and operations of the finance department to provide an accurate statement of the financial condition of the company. This would include the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements. This position is located in Davenport, IA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for all financialreporting and underlying financial systems and records, including the monthly close process, management and statutory accounting, tax computations, transfer pricing, internal/external audit interface and financial controls procedures/improvement.

* On a monthly basis conduct balance sheet reconciliation reviews. This would include review of all account analysis for accuracy, ensuring the reconciliation of all ledger and sub-ledgers.
* Ensure revenue is allocated correctly, taking corrective action where inconsistencies arrive.
* Develop the annual budget and monthly forecasts for the business.
* Act as a liaison with management regarding rate and budget questions.
* Ensure financial compliance with internal procedures and DFAR/FAR government regulations.
* Can be a primary liaison between the company, the public auditing firm and various government agencies and during audits, ensuring understanding of financial data, methodology and applicability under appropriate government regulations.
* Management of Finance staff and personnel, with direct responsibility for selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, development plans, promotional recommendations and schedules.
* Responsible for the development and execution of a training plan for the Finance department.
* Provide guidance and keep employees informed of policies and operational changes.

* Conduct or oversee revenue management tasks:

* Process orders, issue bills and invoices and deal with accounts receivable
* Process accounts payable, benefits, travel and expenses, and manage payroll
* Submit bills and invoices to shared services center
* Process treasury transactions and manage cash
* Execute tax transactions and ensure compliance
* Maintain Fixed Asset Register
* Manage payroll and other employee cost activities
* Maintain and manage internal transfer pricing activities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* CPA or Master's DegreeRequired.
* 8+ years of minimum experience within Finance or Accounting, including experience with GAAP.
* Previous experience within a Supervisory role Required.
* This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. In order to be eligible you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

* Experience within Manufacturing
* Confidence and communications skills to work effectively at all levels of the organization
* Executive presence to operate and influence at a senior level
* Knowledge of financial structures, ability to work under pressure situations with a wide variety of individuals to accomplish the required goal.
* Ability to analyze data and provide judgment of reasonableness
* Ability to develop or modify complex spreadsheets and database applications
* Ability to perform in a time sensitive environment while maintaining accuracy
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
