Responsible for supervision of Group Sales team and Conference Services team for the Manhattan NYC an Affinia Hotel. Assists in creating a clear and compelling vision for Manhattan NYC an Affinia Hotel regarding the group market. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads on property team in achievement of the overall Group and related Banquet budget for Manhattan NYC an Affinia Hotel Assists in setting Group and Banquet revenue goals/action plans for the Group Sales Team Ensures the Group team is prospecting new business and uncovering new territories and/or industries Keen interest in industry trends, new properties and demand generators in market Runs the weekly Group Meeting, participates in selected property-specific strategic meetings Through Delphi, reviews inquiries, prospecting, bookings for the week and reports on results, trends, etc. Reviews the following reports weekly/monthly: PACE report, Decision Due, Guest Room Short Form. Submits weekly 515 reports and assists with monthly ownership meeting reports for DOSM and GM as needed Ensures all relevant Group feeder city trips and trade shows are budgeted for, attended, and that the Manhattan NYC an Affinia Hotel hotels are properly represented Assists in creation of brand collateral for group market as well as giveaways Works with Marketing to maximize exposure with all Group marketing partners for Manhattan NYC an Affinia Hotel to include, StarCite, Cvent,, NYC&Co, etc Ensures all Manhattan NYC an Affinia Hotel Group revenue opportunities are communicated with NSO Works with Marketing Department on banner ads, e-blasts and website offers Pulls and analyzes data; recommends appropriate Group, Banquet and Conference Service actions, standards and policies to the on property DOSM Works closely with Director of Catering, Director of Transient Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing in collaborative leadership of the combined teams; to include but not limited to setting/updating policies and procedures; synergies with operations, NSO and regional teams. Establishes a sense of urgency with the Group Sales team regarding needs of hotels; provides constructive feedback which is current, direct, complete, and actionable Assists with property specific Group strategies making sure the Group team is aware of need periods or shifts in strategy Assist in the budget process for the Group market, help with the creation of MARs, attends select RevMax meetings to understand property specific needs and share trend data Develops Group team by coaching, and accompany them on sales calls; one on one weekly meeting to cultivate best in class salesmanship and professionalism Oversees Conference Services department assignments, standards, synergies with ops and continued growth towards best in class group service Carries personal seller goal based on top group accounts for the hotel Performs other related duties as directed by Director of Sales and Marketing
