Demonstrated ability to lead and develop the human resources teams for multiple locations. * Acts as a business partner to leaders to identify and resolve issues and gain efficiencies. * Provides consultation to field human resources and corporate leaders regarding all areas of human resources including: strategic staffing plans, compensation, training and development, employee and labor relations. * Provides human resources strategy and support for a fast-paced organization to ensure business priorities and focus areas are matched to the short, medium and long term needs of the business. * Assists the organization in achieving its strategic growth objectives through attracting, developing, rewarding aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions and minimizing the impact of variances. * Assists in development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes safety, quality, manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement, and high performance. Labor Relations * Provides labor relations strategies, processes and procedures to assist the business in managing communications between the company and the union, issue resolution, grievance handling, NLRB charges and arbitration hearings. * Assists in the training and development of local human resources and management in the application and administration of collective bargaining agreements. * Partners with local human resources to prepare for and negotiate collective bargaining agreements. * Provides training to the human resources team regarding labor relations activity. * Provides guidance to local human resources teams when working directly with Local and International Union Representatives on matters concerning the labor agreement(s), policy application, employee grievances, attendance control and disciplinary actions. * Investigates, prepares and presents arbitration cases. * Investigates and collaborates with legal counsel to respond to NLRB complaints. * Partners with the General Manager in Korea to develop and execute bargaining strategies for negotiations. Employee Relations: * Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. * Reviews, guides, and approves recommendations for employment decisions. * Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth. * Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees. * Implements lawful strategies to prevent union organizing at union-free operations. Compliance * Leads compliance with all existing governmental, labor and legal reporting requirements including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, workercompensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth. * Leads compliance with all rules & regulations regarding employment practices and actions for International & Canadian Operations. * Leads compliance with all Company human resources policies and procedures. * Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws. Approves all information submitted. Serves as the primary contact with the company employment attorney and outside government agencies. * Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company human resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. * Takes appropriate actions to preventlawsuits, charges, and other legal claims, and to defend such claims if filed. Other: * Directs the preparation and maintenance of human resources reporting. Prepares periodic reports for the leadership team and business leaders, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment. * Develops and administers programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company. * Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university. Master's degree highly desired. * Minimum 10years in a Human Resources Manager role in union and union free environments. * Demonstrated success as first chair in contract negotiations. * Experienced arbitration advocate * Must be willing to travel30% with ability to travelinternationally.
