* This role reports to Senior Vice President of Human Resources. * He/She will head the learning and development function for Highgate Hotels, working directly with Hotel HR and other learning and development staff across the organization to determine the learning and development strategies. * The Director of Learning & Talent Development will have responsibility for directing the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions across Highgate Hotels * He/she will serve as the learning and development and consultant to the executive team and senior business leaders. * He/She will create and integrate a learning strategy that aligns to Highgate mission and culture and supports the execution of the business strategies. * He/she will be responsible for instilling a talent development mindset across the hotel and identifying the skills, knowledge and abilities required to improve performance their leadership core competencies and ultimately improve performance * The candidate will maintain high visibility and influence with senior leaders across the company, partnering with the Director of HR of individual properties and provide talent development consulting, experiences and support company-wide. * Designing and developing talent development strategies to develop a pipeline of future leadership across the company; establish a level of expertise, standardization and implementation of training and development methodologies and tools to assure leadership competency development * Driving the success of talent development solutions; maintaining, developing and/or continually enhancing specific development opportunities to institutionalize leadership development as a core practice in the company * Providing career development opportunities for high potential employees and senior management * Managing third party providers/vendors of learning and development services * Setting standards of excellence around talent development policies, practices and procedures
