JOB DESCRIPTIONImmediate need for a Director of Marketing and Communications - Looking for someone with 5+ years' experience in marketing, communications or public relations with demonstrated success, in the insurance and Workers' Compensation industry.
This position will report directly to the President and CEO of the company and is open to all qualified candidates throughout the country. Candidates will be a proven strategist and leader with hands on experience in executing media relations, industry and social media.
Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the Organization's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and coordinates, primarily, with the media.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organization publications.
Ability to report and measure the success of the plan on a monthly basis.
Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
Act as the Organization's representative with carriers, employer and prospective clients.
Coordinate the appearance of all Organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives.
Ensure effective management within the marketing, communications and public relations function, with provision for succession
Bachelor's degree preferably in a relevant field with above average writing and speaking skills in journalism, marketing, public relations preferred. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable.
