Job Summary The Director of National Accounts is for generating conference business from national market, maximization of sales, development of potential markets and sound administration of assigned responsibilities through sensible delegation and personal attention to detail. Essential Functions Meet and exceed personal revenue and team goals as well as individual developmental goals. Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and trace dates for reworking and follow up. Book meetings, conferences and social guests from assigned areas. Reword and maintain old account files and solicit new accounts. Attend trade shows pertinent to assigned areas and attend meetings, seminars and functions through membership in association. Focus National Account Managers on the strongest potential accounts; coach team to develop deeper relationships and networking opportunities Maintain constant contact with Corporate and Association meeting planners, maintaining membership and contacts in hotel industry associations. Work with in-house managers, Benchmark executives and outside agencies, develop and implement plans for advertising, direct mail, e-marketing, and public relations.
