DIRECTOR OF OFFSITE AMBULATORY PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT

The Director will provide project leadership, analysis and evaluation of the tactical, financial and operational components in the both existing and newly developed Ambulatory Network practices. This individual will plan and execute the development of new practices including leading various, cross functional task forces of key Rush departments and external agencies and provide project management, operational and financial oversight and budgetary reports. Additionally, this individual will provide the leadership and direction for existing RUMG off site practices to ensure standards are being met. This individual will be responsible for day to day operations of certain off site practices within the RUMG network.



PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*

Supports the implementation of RUMG s strategy to develop neighborhood based Ambulatory Network practices.
*

Develops short and long term strategic goals and objectives for the identified Rush offsite ambulatory network practices. These goals and objectives will apply to existing off site practices, those in development and those that will come in the future as RUMG grows.
*

Works collaboratively with the departments to work towards maximum utilization of these practices.
*

In collaboration with the AVP, develops standards for the Rush ambulatory network related to quality, safety, patient-centered care, service, efficiency and productivity.
*

Operational project lead for new practices, interfacing with architectural, capital project teams and user groups to ensure clear communication of project timelines, action items, task completion and budget projections.
*

Leads and supports weekly construction meetings.
*

Works collaboratively with Rush physicians, administrators and ancillary service departments to develop clinical care plans, equipment and staffing needs to deliver services at the network site.
*

Works closely with strategic planning to ensure alignment in identification of future off site practice opportunities.
*

Responsible with finance and strategic planning for pro forma development for future sites and monitoring of existing off sites practices.
*

In conjunction with the AVP, develops standards related to funds flow, revenue and expense distribution amongst departments with a presence in multidisciplinary off site practices.
*

Establishes strong working relationships with interdisciplinary team members.
*

Provides updates on project timelines and deliverables and collaborates with key contributors to ensure the deliverables remain within project parameters.
*

Works to develop RUMG standards for staffing ratios, work flows, algorithms to ensure optimum operations.
*

Supports the implementation of lean standards across practices.
*

Liaison with RUMC Legal, Quality and Compliance departments to ensure requirements around contracts, regulatory standards, policies and procedures are met.
*

Understands and supports key physician referral relationships.
*

Works closely with Faculty Recruitment to ensure coordination of opportunities with prospective candidates to ensure optimum faculty support at all sites as needed.
*

Develops and delivers requested information about all aspect of the site development project including key financial and operational metrics.
*

Ensures Joint Commission compliance for all off site practices within the RUMG network.
*

Develops a standard dashboard for monitoring performance of off-site practices.
*

Supports the identification and implementation of a consistent system of measurements to ensure effective, outstanding patient service delivery that meet or exceed quality, safety and efficiency standards.
*

Reviews the Rush Ambulatory Network sites performance in relation to established goals.
*

Prepares reports and presentations related to the Rush Ambulatory Network sites.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

*

Master s degree in nursing, business, healthcare administration or public health required.
*

Prior experience acquiring or building a clinical practice preferred; ambulatory practice management or consulting experience preferred.
*

Five to seven years of demonstrated project leadership experience required.
*

Knowledge of project management methodologies.
*

Business development; Strategic planning; Cross-functional project planning.
*

Excellent organizational and analytical skills
*

Strong communication, influence and teamwork skills required.
*

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
*

Ability to influence and collaborate with various levels of employees and management.
*

Ability to build consensus across diverse groups.
*

Ability to deliver timely work products through the effort of other non-related employees or consultants.
