The beautiful Four Points by Sheraton Miami Airport is scheduled to open 1st quarter of 2017 is seeking qualified candidates for the Director of Operations position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Director of Operations or successful Rooms Division Manager ready to make the step up in their career. As with all new property openings the amount of detailed work and training required to hire and develop a team will require a significant amount of time leading up to the opening and we are searching for the ideal candidate to help in leading this process. Job Responsibilities Key responsibilities of the Director of Operations include: Functioning as the primary strategic leader of the hotel with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and associate satisfaction, operational efficiency and financial performance focused on expense and labor management Analyzing processes and working closely with the General Manager to develop effective strategies to address needs and opportunities for improvement. Ensuring brand standards are met with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations; communicating follow-up actions to the team as necessary Acting as the brand related systems expert (including the Galaxy PMS and other brand specific computer systems)and leading the training and development of the Front Office team Assisting in preparing an annual budget and business plan in collaboration with appropriate department heads to ensure the smooth operations of the hotel, set financial goals and plan expenses Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to develop a kitchen and restaurant team capable of delivering an exceptional product and experience Creating an environment in which all associates have the ability to develop their skills and achieve their full potential Ensuring that all Four Points by Sheraton operational standards and brand specific requirements are met Act as the General Manager in their absence
