The Director of Nursing - Perioperative Services is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support for; Operating Rooms, Pre Admit services, Endoscopy, PACU, and Central Sterile Supply. Director of Nursing - Perioperative Services/Operating RoomWe are seeking dynamic candidates for the Director of Perioperative Services for this newly built hospital set to open in the Spring 2017. The Director of Nursing - Perioperative Services is responsible for providing leadership, direction and support for; Operating Rooms, Pre Admit services, Endoscopy, PACU, and Central Sterile Supply. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of quality care to patients. Additionally, this role is responsible for planning, implementing, reviewing and controlling the budget, staffing, and Continuous Quality Improvement processes.This leader must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient served. He/She must demonstrate the ability to drive service line growth through exceptional patient experiences and employing effective program development strategies.The new hospital is being designed and built with a forward-looking focus taking into consideration the area's current population of more than 355,000 residents, and an expected growth of nearly 100,000 more people over the next decade. Phase I of the project was completed in early 2016, and includes a fully-licensed Emergency Center and Medical Office Building offering convenient, primary care and ambulatory services, with physician offices.
