JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB SUMMARY
The Director of Phlebotomy Operations will oversee the overall operation and administration of the phlebotomy organization for most US operations. Accountable for ensuring qualified Phlebotomy staffing in all locations (Patient Service Centers and In- office Phlebotomy operations). Supports the overall service provided, quality, and financial metrics/initiatives. The role will require effective cross-functional and collaborative leadership and teamwork to achieve business results. Our ideal candidate for this position has demonstrated great success in leading a team within the healthcare industry and who can align closely with our sales organization to meet business goals. Actively promotes patient satisfaction, employee engagement and identifies and implements process improvement initiatives.
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Phlebotomy organization.
Strengthen the talent through the development of existing staff and selective hiring of new staff.
Build a strong talented team by developing, motivating, and coaching to enable organizational goals and priorities are met.
Ensures that the function meets all regulatory and accreditation requirements and shares with staff to ensure their understanding of and adherence to these requirements.
Identify, prioritize and implement process enhancements and work cross-functionally with lab personnel, logistics, customer services, sales and other stakeholders
Drive the implementation of new and innovative ideas for process improvement to increase operational efficiencies and productivity to support business goals.
Audits and improves the patient experience
Acts as escalation point for all resource issues and concerns
Drives the business to increase profits
Develops and successfully manages operating budgets and financial targets are met in all regions of the phlebotomy organization
Reduce turnover and increase engagement of staff. Will have overall responsibility for an organization of 1300 + employees
Provide data/reporting and trends to Leadership and others in ad-hoc, weekly, monthly and as needed timeframes
Support ongoing training and education

Experience, Requirement and Skills:
BA/BS degree in Biological Science, Business or Process management. Master s degree preferred.
Seven to ten years of management experience within a laboratory environment or lab services organization.
Excellent people-management skills
Strong leadership, change management, communication and customer oriented skills
Knowledge of site/ state licensure requirements to ensure existing and future operations are in compliance.
Ability to create a positive environment
Ability to manage multiple evolving priorities and projects.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to travel as business needs dictate
Valid driver s license and clean driving record (no major moving violations).
