*The Director of Recreation* will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the recreation programs of this 200+ bed Long Term Care and Rehabilitation facility. Prepares a monthly calendar of activities that is posted in prominent areas and provided to every resident. Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family. Provide consultation to members of our staff, community agencies, etc., in efforts to solve the needs and problems of the resident through the development of recreational programs. Involve the resident/family in planning recreation programs to meet objectives and goals for the resident. Manages, trains and develops staff and volunteers. Arranges regular entertainment, parties, seasonal programs and special events. Plans and coordinates staff events at the request of the administrator. Participates in developing and implementing agency administrative policy. Prepares written and oral reports on services evaluation, program participation, individual plans, expenditures and personnel.
