Director of Rehabilitation: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology program with the minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or the minimum of a Master of Science degree and Clinical Competency Certification in Speech Language Pathology. The Director of Rehabilitation will supervise all rehabilitation services within the Samaritan Health System, which includes Samaritan Medical Center (inpatient, outpatient and Acute Rehab Unit), Samaritan Home Health, Samaritan Summit Village and Samaritan Keep Home.

Five years' experience as a staff therapist. Five years supervisory experience, preferably in an integrated healthcare setting. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including spreadsheet analysis, presentation graphics and word processing. Highly developed verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization, patients, families and external individuals, groups and agencies. Ability to manage multiple priorities, simultaneously handle multiple projects and make appropriate decisions to assure completion of tasks on time. Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned. Ability to work under stress. Ability to solve problems of a complex nature. Professional maturity and demeanor that daily sets the tone in carrying out the responsibilities of the position and to represent the organization to internal and external constituents. High degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. Ability to work under stress.Must demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with varied age groups to which service is provided from infants to geriatrics. CPR certification. Current New York State professional license and registration. FIM certification.
