The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and Benioff Children s Hospital seek an accomplished research investigator to lead basic and clinical/translational research for the Newborn Brain Research Institute (NBRI) and the Division of Neonatology. Applicants must currently hold Associate or full Professor rank and possess a medical degree and license, Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology, and an established research program in Neuroscience with a record of creative contributions to the field spanning at least five years.
The successful candidate will be appointed at the Associate or full Professor rank of the Ladder Rank or In Residence faculty series and will participate in teaching and mentoring activities for trainees and junior faculty. As director of research for the NBRI, the appointee must demonstrate the desire, experience, and expertise to nurture and develop the group s basic and translational research programs. He or she will be proposed for faculty membership in the prestigious UCSF Biomedical Sciences graduate program.
