JOB DESCRIPTIONGlobal Entertainment Company is looking for a strong Revenue Director to take on the monthly revenue recognition and invoicing process in accordance with US GAAP, SEC requirements, SOX and financial policies. This role contributes to all aspects of the revenues/order to cash with focus on foundational transactions and functions and goal of streamlining processes.
Oversee monthly and quarterly close activity for all system platforms including certification of revenue & AR related account reconciliations in adherence with company financial deadlines
Prepare monthly revenue margin reviews including flux explanations and trend analysis for all revenue lines of business
Maintain accuracy by reconciling General Ledger revenue to platform source data & investigating discrepancies
Assist in the development and implementation of new system modules or enhancements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of the company's revenue recognition.
Coordinate with Legal & Product teams, as needed, to assess Financial impact of new system developments and new buyer/seller agreements
Review and approve all revenue & AR related journal entries prepared by GL & AR teams
Monitor monthly invoicing workflow including coordination with operations team, as necessary
Support quarterly internal & external audit deadlines
Prepare adhoc reporting and analysis as requested
Assist with Sarbanes Oxley 404 (SOX) narrative and RCM documentation, preparation of schedules for auditors, etc.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 - 7years job experience in an accounting/revenues role with experience in Public Accounting (Big 4) preferred
Oracle experience preferred
CPA and/or accounting degreepreferred
Proficiency with Excel
Proven problem solving skills with an attention to detail
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast paced environment
Professional written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills
Adherence to deadlines & ability to multi-task
Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
Experience in the digital advertising industry preferred
