Functions as the Strategic Business Leader for Revenue Generation. The Director of Revenue Strategy based in Denver, CO, will have the overall responsibility for achieving property revenue goals and booking pace goals by leading the Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management efforts and the overall development of hotels sales teams and individual sales associates to maximize profitable revenue generation. The Director of Revenue Strategy will also partner with and lead the efforts of the brand Revenue Management teams, Digital Marketing, Public Relations and Operations Departments to execute the sales strategic direction and the implementation of all sales plans, strategies, pricing and tactics. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement strategies to achieve budgeted revenue and NOI as well as gaining market share in the local market by optimizing rate and channel deployment, targeting market demand generators, conducting competitor analysis, monitoring rooms segmentation results and strategies, and direct sales and marketing initiatives. Evaluate and identify revenue opportunities for the hotels to grow revenue and market share and direct accordingly; Manages the marketing budgets to enable development of hotel specific campaigns, promotions, collateral, etc. to drive revenue and meet business objectives Audit key assigned hotel strategies and tactics to ensure revenue maximization is realized, best practices are used, marketing program compliance is enforced and appropriate channel distribution is realized; Oversee the recruiting, selecting, hiring, training and developing of hotels sales departments team members including training on new tools, tasks and initiatives Assist with development of GMs on how to effectively manage their sales associates and sales effort, to include training on how GMs can impact sales directly teaching when needed the importance of the GM 10 commandments of Sales; Leverage all the tools and reports in place including database intelligence to create focused opportunities for the hotels i.e. brand reporting, TravelClick reporting, etc.; Establish and maintain consistent reporting of on-the-books, pace, segmentation and other revenue reporting and action plans to meet or exceed established goals; Act as the group and transient pricing strategy expert for the hotels; Accountable for and lead the pricing process for transient rooms (i.e. RFPs, Qualifiers, Compelling business case reviews, seasonal pricingetc.); Provide hotel ownership reporting as requested for either market research, hotel performance, or forecasting; Monitor hotel rolling forecasts and communicate issues to Managing Director of Hotel Operations; Work with the Managing Director of Hotel Operations to develop the annual business plans and help the hotels achieve their business plan objectives; Set long term goals for the sales and revenue management departments through review of competitive data, demand analysis and market mix that will become the basis of short term goals and annual operational planning; Accountable for the coordination of marketing plan and quarterly action planning process as well as continued review of quarterly action plans to enable hotels to stay on track in achieving their key objectives; Development and implementation of hotels sales and marketing plans for new hotels, acquisitions, ongoing operations and newly renovated hotels; Lead the efforts for revenue related activities for new hotels and acquisitions/transitions with full responsibility for the pre-opening sales strategies, product positioning and establishing pricing targets as well as managing the sales, marketing and revenue management critical paths in order to ensure achievement of budgeted market share Develop strategies and directions related to the execution of the propertys marketing and sales functions in conjunction with the Managing Director of Hotel Operations Capitalize on brand related marketing and sales programs while leveraging brand commercial resources for maximum exposure of the hotels; Other duties as requested.
