We are currently seeking a Director of Sales with a skill set that is conducive to both the Corporate and Social markets for our top ranked Courtyard by Marriott-Canfield. This property is one year old and is situated on the Kennsington Golf Club. Some responsibilities of these positions include, but are not limited to: * Driving revenues in different segments with a heavy focus on corporate, and social markets. * Exceeding customers' expectations with great knowledge, and genuine service. * Developing and maintaining exceptional relationships. * Prospecting for new business by conducting quality outside calls, telephone solicitations, utilization of Internet, newspapers and magazines, creating a referral network, social networking, etc. * Qualifying internal leads and turning inquiries into events. * Booking and detailing events with accuracy. * Upselling items and services to maximize revenues while providing increased value and an exceptional experience to our guests. * Being a team player to promote a positive atmosphere for our associates while keeping the highest of standards in place. * Providing input on marketing to gain maximum exposure in the market. * Assisting in the creation and execution of an annual Sales & Marketing plan. * Recommending pricing that shows tremendous value to our guests while maintaining profitability margins. * Accurate and timeliness of reporting (weekly plans, results, production, etc.)
