Director of Sales Location Hilton Garden Inn, West Chester KB Hotel Group is currently seeking a talented and energetic individual to fill our open Director of Sales position in West Chester, Ohio. General Accountabilities: Projects a favorable image of the hotel to the public at all times. Creates and retains Group Sales and is expected to provide superior customer service. Responsible for obtaining new accounts within their territory, increasing sales for KB Hotel Group and meeting or exceeding Company specified annual goals. Revenue: Prepares and implements the hotels annual Sales and Marketing plan, makes sales calls to Key accounts and potential clients, and capitalizes on all revenue opportunities. Financial: Aggressively pursues revenue goals and effectively utilize yield management and revenue maximization tools. Community Involvement: Ensures good standing in the community by developing and maintaining relationships with, Chamber of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, other hotels, local schools, local government and other community and civic organizations. Quality: Works closely with the Front office and Housekeeping staff to ensure that the hotel meets/exceeds KBHGs and brand standards for guest satisfaction. Leadership: Motivates, coaches and trains team members, sets goals and holds team members accountable, and provide feedback, rewards, and recognition. Work Ethic: Demonstrates a high level of integrity, takes ownership of personal and team actions, communicates effectively, promotes collaboration, nurture a positive, professional work environment, and adheres to KBHGs Standard Operating Procedures. Performance standards: Performances shall be measured by budgeted REVPAR, MSI Index, Guest Service Index (GSI) and the Associate Standard Index (ASI). Performs other additional and related duties assigned by the supervisors and or the General Manager to provide service and teamwork in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Meets and exceeds Customer and Associate expectations by providing service and teamwork. Specific Essential Tasks/Duties: (Note: this is a general overview of the job duties, not a complete list of essential functions. This job and all duties performed under this job description will adhere to all Federal, State and local regulations.) Conducts and continuously updates local market research. Sells incremental room nights for assigned properties. Develops and executes each hotels marketing plan. Achieves and exceeds the Revenue targets for the assigned properties. Assesses the market potential and develop new business opportunities while at the same time increasing revenues from existing customers. Conducts and enhance public and community relations Sends a daily end of the day activity and accomplishment email to the General Manager and a copy to the Director of Operations. Achieves Revenue and Revpar targets for all business segments. Establishes monthly sales forecasts. Keeps the General Manager and Corporate apprised of the status of these forecasts to ensure that the property has a steady stream of business through the year. Develops and executes advertising programs within the GM guidelines and the approved budgets. Leverages cross sell opportunities amongst all KBHG properties. Maintains high visibility in the surrounding community. Maintains efficient sales office procedures for productive uses of staff time and insures the maintenance of accurate and updated account files and follow-up procedures. Ensures all sales leads are followed up. Assists in the development and recommendation of rate strategies. Ensures compliance to the sales and marketing Bonus plan. Maintains history trend analysis for the property Ensures the prompt and systematic servicing of all business accounts. Identifies and analyzes competition, both locally and regionally. Attends Chamber of Commerce monthly meetings, and other pertinent community activities. Develops strategic relationships with third party providers. Ensures that the web and third party electronic distribution channels are continuously reviewed, researched and updated for maximum hotel exposure and maximum room night generation. Attends relevant tradeshows and events to promote the assigned properties. Provides sales call reports to the General Manager and the Director of Operations as required by the Standard Operating Procedures of KBHG Hotels. Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations. Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers, and supervisors. Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed. Oversees activities of Sales Managers. Ensures that staff reports to work as scheduled. Documents any late or absent associates. Monitors performance of staff and ensure all procedures are completed to the department standards; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel. Fosters and promotes a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and associate morale. Provides feedback to staff on their performance; handles disciplinary problems and counsels Associates according to Hotel standards. Interviews and hires new personnel according to Hotel policies and standards. Handless difficult situations effectively. Follows hotel grooming and dress standards. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance. Minimizes safety hazards by practicing safety and following all safety rules and procedures. Adheres to all hotel policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Attendance is crucial to position. No calls please. We are an equal opportunity employer.
