Director of Sales Position: Responsibilities include proactive soliciting and managing meeting groups with the assistance of either a sales liaison on the property or a lead front desk associate. Actively soliciting outside calls to local clientele within the radius of the property. Goals and action plans that are prepared by the General Manager on a quarterly basis to be adhered to and reviewed on a timely basis. Up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal and team related top line sales goals. Ensures that business is turned over to each department for each Business Transient Account and each group meeting piece of business. Following up on details and specifics for each new account found and/or group piece of meeting business. Responsibilities also include driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience and providing service to our customers in order to grow the account in through qualification processes. Must understand the RFP process and seasons. Direct and be aggressive in maintaining business transient flow. Candidate Profile - Education and Experience - High School diploma or GED or 3 years of experience in the sales and marketing, guest service, front desk or related professional area. Preferred is a 2 year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing or Hotel and Restaurant Management.
