Director of Sales Job Details An ideal Director of Sales candidate must possess extensive knowledge of hotel operations, a positive attitude, strong prospecting skills, strong networking skills, and the ability to work without supervision. The Director of Sales must be able to work well with others, communicate effectively and respond in a timely manner, follow through on all the details, be able to multitask and epitomize professionalism with all hotel departments. Director of Sales Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies Operate the sales department within established sales expense budget Directly responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals as established by Area/Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and/or General Manager Maintain accurate records both electronically and paper copies Initiate and follow-up on leads Achieve and grow local account and global account partnerships Communicate needs directly to hotel operations team to ensure guest satisfaction Coordinate, prepare and achieve goals set in annual Marketing Plan
