Provide support and coaching for team members to drive high levels of performance, job satisfaction, and personal growth. Train and empower sales team members to exercise good judgment to make profitable business decisions. In conjunction with the Human Resources department your responsibilities will include the hiring, termination, performance evaluation and development of each. Forge new customer relationships. Cultivate, enhance and leverage relationships to elevate awareness of the hotel and gain market share. Conduct sales calls on the universities departments, key accounts and major prospects in the market. Create successful marketing strategies through innovation. Periodically assess the effectiveness of your sales programs and make adjustments by utilizing market data, market segment and revenue management intelligence. Monitor team sales activities and performance to ensure their collective revenue goals meet or exceed the established plan. Accountability for the departmental budgets and proven success in achieving sales goals. Adhere to all corporate required purchasing policies and controls, budget development and schedules as required. Collaborate with Finance on the revenue expectations and departmental costs to ensure the sales plan is on budget to meet or exceed profit goals.
