Overview: Oversee group sales operation to meet/exceed sales, revenue and profit objectives. Solicit, negotiate and confirm new and repeat business through efforts in outside sales calls, online marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, referrals, site inspections, and networking (including participation in appropriate Brand initiatives). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maximize hotels group room revenue on a monthly and annual basis, and direct sales focus to achieve hotel ADR, Occupancy and revenue goals Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, association, SMERF and leisure accounts Handle majority of personal, telephone and online contact with past, current and prospective clients Oversee management of Sales Department including completion of letters, proposals, contracts, and other correspondence (e-mail and traditional) Oversee meeting room reservations and group room block schedules Conduct hotel tours as needed Prepare, organize and execute all hotel marketing efforts (online, direct mail, etc), including representation of hotel at any appropriate trade shows Complete annual hotel marketing plan / sales budget in coordination with General Manager and Regional VP of Sales Work effectively to maintain an open line of communication and harmony among all hotel departments (maintenance, housekeeping, front desk, etc.) Maintain office filing and organizational systems (paper and electronic) including all updates to sales software system
