ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Director of Sales is responsible for developing and implementing key strategies that optimize business opportunities for the Marriott brand hotel . Account development and new revenue achievement will be the focus of this position. This position will work directly in conjunction with the General Manager (GM) to develop and achieve property revenue goals. This position requires travel, both within and outside the region. This position requires attendance at various trade shows/events that may be held on weekends and/or evening periods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - This position will focus on the achievement of the hotel's portfolio revenue goals and targets - Responsible for managing existing assigned corporate accounts to ensure maximum levels of service and production - Seek out and develop new Corporate accounts to build on the existing account base - Assist in the development and implementation the property sales/marketing plan for corporate accounts to ensure all revenue goals will be met and exceeded - Assist in the development and management of the property revenue and expense sales and marketing budget - Work together with the GM to maximize customer leads, repeat business, pricing and marketing strategies to grow business results - Attend relevant trade shows/functions to ensure that property has the appropriate focus/representation in the market. - Manage property sales database to ensure it is being utilized to its full potential to create organizational efficiencies.
