Pinnacle Hotels USA, Inc. was founded in 1998. We are a privately held company managing properties in California and Texas. Pinnacle offers a variety of quality hotel choices under flags such as La Quinta, Hilton, Starwood and Marriott. We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead our sales team at our beautiful full-service 342 room Hyatt Regency North Dallas! Monitor sales staff performance to ensure that goals are met. Hire, train, and evaluate personnel. Prospect and qualify new business by conducting regular market drives, utilizing reports such as Hotelligence, In-house guest lists, Industry Publications, etc. Pro-actively solicit new accounts for assigned hotel by making face-to-face sales calls in the assigned market on a regular basis as appropriate. Accountable for building base business within the assigned segments. Respond to sales leads as provided by the hotel(s), client referrals, CVB leads. Ensure the prompt servicing of accounts. Attend company meetings to exchange product information and coordinate work activities with other departments. Prepare weekly sales report listing daily efforts, including a summary of all definite and tentative business booked along with any cancellations and/ or lost business. Communicate with Brand Database or Distribution Department to set-up rate codes for new accounts and ensure proper tracking of account production. Renew negotiated rates annually based on appropriate criteria and communicate rate changes to Brand Database or Distribution Department. Assist hotel staff with training on current marketing programs, new corporate accounts, etc. Follow consistent sales office procedures by updating account database; record account activity, call reports, traces, and history. Prepare and update a sales action plan indicating all future efforts, goals and objectives outlining weekly sales efforts in a planned, organized realistic plan to develop and grow hotel's penetration within the assigned segment. Build networking opportunities and represent the hotel's interests in local issues by regularly attending local Chamber of Commerce, Convention & Visitor's Bureau, hotel associations, and trade shows. Work with the brand on inclusion in national, regional and local promotions. Implement hotel specific marketing campaigns, online and/or print advertisements and promotions. Responsible for development of hotel collateral. Identify public relations opportunities and coordinate activities to increase strategic involvement. Create and execute the annual marketing plan addressing sales strategy, deployment and knowledge of competitor hotels. Maintain relationships with key OTA's, coordinate promotions, and ensure priority placement. Update and maintain online content & photography including brand website and third party sites.
