Director of Sales DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles/Rosemead The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Rosemead is a popular full-service hotel that is located in the San Gabriel area. The hotel is currently expanding its guestrooms, restaurant and banquet and event space. This position offers an exciting opportunity for the hospitality professional with a proven track record. Reports to the General Manager. Marin Management, Inc., headquartered in Sausalito, California , is celebrating its 22nd year as a full-service hotel management company. The company provides a variety of management, consulting, sales-support, acquisition and development services in the U.S. and internationally for the lodging and restaurant industries. Marin Management currently operates 35 hotel throughout California, Arizona, Texas, Missouri and Oklahoma and is expanding into other states. Marin Management operates full-service and limited-service hotels affiliated with 14 brands of major international franchisers, such as Hilton Hotels Corporation(R) , Wyndham International(R), Choice Hotels International (R), Carlson Hotels Worldwide(R), Intercontinental Hotel Group(R) (IHG) and other franchisors. The company also operates unique independent hotels. The job duties include but are not limited to: *Supervise and be actively involved in the research, qualification, solicitation and booking of group, contract and volume accounts so that the hotel's overall revenue and profit goals are met or exceeded. *Maintain and update accurate, complete and current records on each hotel group, contract and volume account. *Report statistics on sales activities and results to management. *Create, distribute, maintain and update records that accurately describe upcoming group events. *Solicit repeat business from hotel customers. *Assist with accurate group rooming lists in the time required before each group event. *Assure that customer contracts are executed on a timely basis. *Supervise and actively participate in special sales promotion activities, such as client parties, telemarketing campaigns and sales blitzes. *Actively participate in the communities charitable and professional organizations in order to provide community service, maintain a high profile for the hotel and develop personally and professionally. *Maintain a current and accurate computer database of prospective and current hotel accounts. *Adhere to, implement and enforce Company policies. *Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary Company information, including, but not limited to, hotel performance statistics, information about agreements with clients, information about prospective business, hotel financial information and employee personal and salary information throughout and after employment by the hotel. *Represent the hotel with enthusiasm, professionalism and businesslike appearance and demeanor to all hotel guests, clients, prospective clients and agents and to the community. *Achieve and exceed personal and departmental sales goals.
