**Experience in educational and/or educational technology sales to K-12 schools is required**
We are currently recruiting a Director of Sales for a growing EdTech company, which specializes in data management solutions for K-12 schools and universities. This will be an individual contributor, home-based position reporting to the company's office in Charlotte, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sell the existing suite of data analysis and reporting solutions to K-12 independent schools
Break into and begin selling to the public school and higher ed markets
Selling a combination of existing products and new products specifically suited to each market
Consult with current and potential customers to understand their challenges
Actively participate in the development of new products and improvement of existing products based upon the challenges discovered above
Actively participate in marketing and promotional activities for the company and its products
Relationship building and account management of customers during the implementation period
Maintain relationship and pursue upsell opportunities after implementation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven sales success
Ability to understand and sell technology-based SaaS products
Ability to communicate with school leaders and technology professionals
Ability to take initiative and succeed with limited supervision
Comfort level with technology in general and ability to communicate with programmers and other technical employees
Comfort level working in a small company with an 'all hands on deck' mentality
Experience in the education industry
Travel
Home-based position with annual travel estimated at
2-4 trips to Charlotte, NC at 2-3 days each
4-6international trips for educational conferences at 4-6 days each
3-6 domestic trips for educational conferences at 2-3 days each
2-5 client visits at 1-2 days each
