Role Summary

The RN/Behavioral Health Specialist will manage dual claims dealing specifically with mental health issues.

Major Duties

The Behavioral Health Specialist will focus on LTD and STD claims and file review and

- Will work closely with the physicians and nursing team.

- They will work closely with a Case Manager and focus specifically on the mental health claims.

-Understands and is able to articulate claimant's perspective

-Facilitates relations with and between Claim Examiners, business partners, and customers to develop claim strategies, reduce the total cost of disability in all forms and implement improvement opportunities.

-Collaborates with health care providers and ill/injured employees to promote accountability for the appropriateness and status of treatment plan and length of disability.

This is a full time position in our Pittsburgh, PA office location (West Carson Street).

This position offers a flexible schedule and either 8 or 10 hour shifts after an initial orientation period.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate must have an active and unrestricted Pennsylvania RN license and must possess the following:

1. Must have a minimum of 3 years of Mental Health/Psych/Behavioral Health clinical experience. Case Management background is preferred and the ability to manage a caseload telephonically.

2. Must have one of the following licenses: RN, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist

3. Managed care background is desired.

4. Strong communication and computer skills a must.

5. Ability to function in a team environment
