Description:
North Star is Alaska s premier behavioral health
provider that specialized in helping young people with
life s challenges. We recognize that childhood should be

young people s control or ability to effectively handle.
Our programs at North Star work with the family and the
community to help facilitate optimal growth and
nurturing throughout times of childhood adversity. Our
goal is to help young people get on a track that leads
to a life of youthfulness the life that child and
adolescents deserve.
We are currently searching for Discharge Planner to join
our established team. This person will be responsible
for providing direct and indirect care to patients, as
well as providing psychotherapeutic services to clients
and families. This person will serve as a member of the
interdisciplinary team supporting the facility s
treatment program and philosophy. They will serve as the
primary liaison between the facility and outside
agencies for discharge planning, abuse reporting, and
continuum of care functions.
Requirements:
This position requires a Master s degree in Psychology,
Social Work, or other related field. One year of post
degree experience and case management experience is
preferred. This candidate should be willing to work a
flexible schedule to meet the needs of the facility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills area
must.
