Job Description
Job Summary:
The Account Manager develops and maintains commercial accounts in several defined market segments, selling a variety of hard-line products and related services to Business to Business (B2B) clients, with a primary focus on new business development in the Hospitality market segment which includes developing and maintaining relationships with hotel management companies, hotel brands and hotel property operators. This position's emphasis is on new business development, relationship selling and as applicable, utilization of the Appliance Select Centers. This position demands a high degree of self-motivation, and well developed key account planning, organization and time management skills.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Attains sales and margin goals through new account development and continued relationships with current customer accounts
* Plans market and lead generation
* Meets standards of new business development and new account acquisition
* Maximizes utilization of the Builder Resource Center
* Achieves delivery income goals by supporting business pricing strategies
* Presents product and service offerings to customers
* Participates with various Trade associations to develop new customer base
* Adheres to mileage and expense, pricing, and procedural requirements
* Adheres to all local distributor product policies and procedures
* Adheres to all company guidelines for professional and ethical conduct
* Demonstrates Sears Leadership Principles (Customer Focus, Change Management, Drive for Results, Teamwork, Performance Management, and Diversity/Inclusiveness)
Qualifications:
Education Experience: HS Graduate or Equivalent
Years of Related Experience: 3-4 Years
Travel Requirements: 25%
Job Requirements:
* Minimum one (1) year experience in sales
* Computer skills, including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, contact management and order management programs and Internet excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to present both product and service solutions of the company in response to the unique needs of each client
* Access to a vehicle
* Vehicle insurance
* Self-motivation skills
* Well developed planning, organization, and time management skills
* Ability to present both product and service capabilities of the company in response to the unique needs of each customer
Preferred Skills:
* College degree, technical school, or continuing education
* Outside sales (cold-calling, business to business, etc.)
