Our client is an award winning, fast growing professional services organization. They offer Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Payroll, and Risk Management solutions on an outsourced basis. This highly innovative, best in class, organization is looking for an aggressive and strategic sales leader to join their team.

Overview:
The District Manager is responsible for monitoring and managing the sales staff, which includes: providing the Sales Representative with the necessary tools and resources to be effective, coaching and developing the sales team on the skills and techniques of selling as well as on the products and services offered and for creating and maintaining a successful and profitable list of satisfied clients.

Business Development
Develop Market
andbull;Assess local market and develop market strategy
andbull;Meet with vendors/brokers/business alliances
andbull;Attend networking events and association meetings/conferences
andbull;Attend company meetings
andbull;Conduct market analysis
andbull;Develop industry leads/targets
andbull;Assist in the development of proposal presentations
andbull;Attend complex closing meetings
andbull;Assist in the development of sales contracts
andbull;Work with underwriting, risk management, and benefits to get deals closed
andbull;Work closely with Sales Representatives to ensure proposals are complete and approved internally
andbull;Answer questions and assists Sales Representatives on complex deals and negotiations

Staff Development
andbull;Coach/Develop new Sales Representatives:
andbull;Provide information on processes, products, cold-calling techniques, and how to pick an industry market
andbull;Work with Sales Representatives on how to conduct pre-call and post-call planning
andbull;Work with Sales Representatives on business and activity planning
andbull;Review weekly activity plans
andbull;Conduct regular sales call ride-alongs


Mentor and manage Sales Representative's performance:
andbull;Conduct regular product/service training with sales staff
andbull;Conduct weekly meetings with sales staff (as group and one-on-one)
andbull;Examine andldquo;pipelineandrdquo; and andldquo;activityandrdquo; reports of Sales Representatives
andbull;Monitor progress and opportunities to close sales
andbull;Develop and review weekly plans
andbull;Set weekly/monthly goals for Sales Representatives

Administrative
andbull;Examining progress of sales staff
andbull;Preparing topics for each weekly meeting
andbull;Prepare and send corporate reports (timesheets, sales reportsandhellip;)
andbull;Bi-weekly conference calls
andbull;Review and approve expense reports

Mentor and Develop Sales Representatives:
andbull;Train and development of Sales Representatives and other office staff
andbull;Create and monitor business plans with Sales Representatives
andbull;Conduct formal performance appraisals of Sales Representatives and other office staff


Requirements:
andbull;A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful sales management experience; selling an HR solution/service.
andbull;Must have experience selling to SMB markets
andbull;Requires an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong goal orientation and commitment to quality processes and ethical behavior.
andbull;Must be a coach, a great teacher, a mentor.
andbull;Must be analytical and a strategic leader; strategic in hiring and closing deals.
andbull;Advanced communication and negotiation skills, with proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a services environment.
andbull;Proficient with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations.
