If you want to be part of an award winning organization and join an HR team who is rigorously committed to excellence, were interested in hearing from you!p pThe Diversity amp; Inclusion Program Administrator researches, recommends and implements diversity and inclusion programs for Salem Health to ensure cultural and other diversity interests are identified, valued and promoted to all stakeholders, including employees, patients and their families, volunteers and general community members.nbsp; This position serves as an internal subject matter expert on diversity and cultural issues and is a resource to help facilitate problem solving around diversity issues with the goal of ensuring a culture that is respective and inclusive of all types of diversity.nbsp; Establishes and maintains key community relationships to ensure that input from representative community groups is sought and included when establishing diversity and inclusion initiatives.p p class=c1General Responsibilities:p ul liDevelops and conducts individual and group trainingeducation aimed at changing organizational culture and biases; ensures that the message of diversity and inclusion is comprehensive, going beyond culture and ethnicity, and includes gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, religion and life experiences; remains knowledgeable about a wide variety of diverse groups and cultures and shares that knowledge with others, serving as a subject matter expert in such areas; and promotes a culture of inclusion.li liAssists internal stakeholders in problem solving operational challenges related to diversity and cultural competency by sharing information and resources and actively partnering to provide solutions.li liEstablishes and maintains external relationships with key groups and individuals within the community to ensure appropriate community input into organizational diversity and cultural competency initiatives; keeps tabs on community perception around diversity and inclusion.li liServes as an advisor to leadership by keeping current on best practices in the field of diversity and cultural competency; analyzes organizational performance to identify gaps and opportunities and recommends diversity and cultural inclusion strategies to address gaps, ensuring a comprehensive approach; maintains diversity and inclusion strategic plan and monitors progress against that plan according to established methods of measurement; and provides periodic reporting to leadership on progress.li liEstablishes and maintains support programs for specialized groups of diverse staff, placing special emphasis on welcoming and connecting new diverse members of the team to help ensure a sense of inclusion and aimed at long-term retention of those diverse staff members; leads coordination of events celebrating diversity and inclusion.li liWorks with Human Resources and leadership staff on effective approaches to identifying diverse talent and establishing an effective selection process that ensures equal opportunity in the selection process; provides individual coaching as needed; and may participate in interview panels for key po
