Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, HS Clinical or Clinical X Faculty Series

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking a new faculty member to join its Division of Allergy/Immunology/Bone Marrow Transplant (AI-BMT). The appointment will be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full rank of the HS Clinical or Clinical X faculty series. Applicants must possess a medical degree and license, Board eligibility in General Pediatrics, and Board certification in either Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent clinical care for children and young adult patients undergoing HCT, both at UCSF and in outreach clinics. The BMT Program at UCSF Benioff Children s Hospital performs over 80 transplants per year in our new facility with a thriving clinical research team. The Division currently has 15 full or part-time faculty. The faculty member is initially expected to have between 60-100 percent clinical duties, depending on existing external funding for clinical research. In future years, the amount of clinical time will be negotiable based on degree of external funding. The ideal candidate will have at least one year post-fellowship experience in caring for HCT patients. Qualified candidates will also be considered for the position of BMT Medical Director for UCSF Benioff Children s Hospital.
