UTi/DSV, the fourth largest 3PL in the world is hiring FT Dock Controllers for our tire distribution center in Laurens, SC. Starting pay is up to $16.08 per hour. Preferred schedules include working four 10 hour days Mon-Thurs, either 5:00am 3:30pm or 5:00pm 3:30am, or three 12 hour days, Fri Sun 6:00am 6:30pm. Second Shift hours are Monday thru Thursday- 5:00pm to 3:30am - Hourly rate is $14.88.
The Dock Controller is responsible for transporting pallets of product to the proper dock location and ensuring pallets are loaded correctly per work instructions. Associate must properly inspect and operate industrial equipment with a high level of safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses scan gun to verify pallets are barcoded correctly.
Ensures pallets are transported to the proper dock door and loaded in proper sequence.
Utilize industrial equipment to move pallets of product to proper location on docks.
Prepares required warehouse paperwork accurately and completely.
Must communicate any procedural issues for management to resolve.
Complete all required training.
Perform other duties or responsibilities as requested by Management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses computer and telephone equipment. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision and distance vision.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand up to 12 hours per day.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Fluent in English (reading, writing and verbal)
Ability to operate industrial equipment efficiently and safety.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
