Job Description

The Drafter supports plans, drawings, detailed part revisions as well as assembly and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data in a field of specialization such as structures, devices, mechanics, electrical, or electronics. Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) or Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Analysis (CATIA)
* Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices
* Determine scaling and insert necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning
* Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operationsRolls-Royce has a broad customer base comprising 600 airlines, 4,000 corporate and utility aircraft and helicopter operators, 160 armed forces, more than 2,000 marine customers including 70 navies, and energy customers in 120 countries. Basic:
* High School Diploma
* 6 years of experience with modelling and drafting techniques
* Experience with Unigraphics NX2 (or above) and TeamCenter System operation
* Ability to read and understand wiring schematics
* Knowledge of electrical codes and symbols
Preferred:
* Associate's degree
* 5 years of experience of principles of Unigraphics 3D modelling and drafting techniques and application
* Experience working within turbomachinery packaging or similar background
* Electrical Interface & Cable Routing drawing experience
