Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES


Audit and report on department safety programs to ensure employee safety, OSHA compliance and Evraz Pueblo Safety Program Compliance


Conduct Workplace Safety Inspections


Review written safety programs for effectiveness and compliance


Administer department safety program


Conduct safety training


Coordinate and provide general support to safety committee activities


Provide technical safety support to all department personnel


Assist in environmental issues and compliance, as needed

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


High school diploma or equivalent


Safety program management experience and training


Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations


Strong leadership skills


Strong written and oral communication skills


Positive attitude

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION


2 or 4 Year College Degree


Safety and Health experience in a manufacturing facility


Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word


Proven ability to organize and motivate teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivity


Proven ability to professionally motivate and engage employees
